We have a generation of girls who grew up on these princesses. Dressing like them for halloween, watching all their movies, etc. Now they are growing up and what better to keep that princess in you alive than a princess inspired ring. I like how the Belle ring is simple and pretty just like she was. Cute idea I think.

Cute idea, indeed... at $2,000 to $7,000 per ring?

This just fosters consumerism, IMO and an inability to see the value of a dollar...

But that is just me... I would think it would be unfair for a girl to ask this of a guy. That is just screams of "I care about nothing else but money"

I don't like any of them. They look incredibly common... But that is fostered by the fact that they have diamonds on them and to me there is nothing more common now a days than a big fat diamond...

Are you saying they are over priced?
These are real diamonds and real grown-up rings.

The prices don't seem that outrages to me.

I don't like the diamonds around the band like that. :)
EDIT: NVM, I was looking at the wrong one.

You mean like ALL cosmetic or non-industrial diamonds?

I have to hand it to DeBeers, though, for being able to market something neither necessary nor rare for over a century.

I think the Cinderella looks trashy...It's just a giant rock right in the middle!

What's original about that?

I am saying that for something that you have no way of verifying it has a blood diamond or not... Because I didn't see DeBeers mentioned anywhere, nor any other reputable diamond dealer for that matter... It is TOO Pricey...

And in my case where I absolutely detest diamonds because literally EVERY.SINGLE.GIRL wants one, it's just down right appalling.

People enamored with diamonds don't care who they're named after or how much they cost, just who they impress and if they cement the deal. The rings are beautiful, and one can (and should) ask where they were obtained.

Husby proposed to me with a beautiful ring 24 years ago, and I've worn it since then. I don't know its history; we didn't know about blood diamonds then. I'm not a monster, I do care, and would want to know re any new jewelry. But, I'm not going to feel guilty about wearing this one.

For real diamonds, the prices you see are quite accurate and not unfair.

And receiving a wedding ring, for almost every girl, is NOT just about money or diamonds or whatever, it's a symbol and a right of passage into actual adulthood. It's a symbol of love and commitment and your future together as spouses. You don't want a diamond? Good for you; you don't have to have one. But don't act like that makes you a better person for goodness' sake.
