What's the best concert you've ever been to? I have a tie

1) Australian Pink Floyd Band - Saw them twice. They sound like the real deal. Absolutely amazing. Their versions of Great Gig in the Sky, Shine on You Crazy Diamond, and One of these Days are terrific.

2) Green Day - Saw them twice as well. They put on an incredible show. I might get a lot of crap for mentioning them, but they were awesome.

I don't go to many at all, but last summer's was definitely my favorite. I saw Dropkick Murphys with Mighty Mighty Bosstones. There was one sweaty, shirtless guy with BO who insisted on hanging around us, but other than that one small thing, it was great.

I would say:

INXS - Before Hutchence's death
Live with Counting Crows
Fuel
Tonic

Sadly, that is the number of concerts I had attended in my life...

That will be fixed by going to see Elefante on Sat night and Ottmar Liebert on Aug 5th.

I've seen Live and Counting Crows. Counting Crows were a lot better, but Live wasn't bad.

Jealous of this one, I can't imagine the energy those guys must have live. That youtube clip of them playing Smells Like Teen Spirit made me a fan.

The Black Crows were great in concert! I saw them open for Aerosmith. Only concert I ever wore earplugs. We had 10th row tickets and your ears actually hurt if you took the plugs out.

Aerosmith is always loud, one of the loudest bands I've ever seen, they put on a great show. I saw them with Run DMC about a year or two before Jay died.

My soul explodes just thinking about how wonderful the experience was!

It was perfect weather, a cool summer night. Oh god, it was amazing.

i've mentioned it before in a similar thread but will repeat it...

It is not my favorite concert, but it is my most memorable one - mainly because of the large number of fights, mayhem, and general chaos.

It was at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu. Stadium concerts are of course notorious for problems.

Add to this the fact that the stadium was selling beer. Alcohol, massive numbers of people and unassigned seating -yeah!

This was a fairly large concert with 3 bands.
    Headliner for the concert was

ZZ Top - a Texas - southern - rock and roll band.
    another band was
Steve Ray Vaughn - a texas - southern - rock and roll band.

Which group goes best with these two deep south rock and roll bands?

Why Run DMC of course. Really isn't it obvious?

You had some people that were fans of all 3, but by and large you had very disparate groups. Disparate drunk groups. Disparate drunk young groups.

It wasn't a very pretty sight.

I think mine was a John Prine concert in a very small venue. I think there were about 150 of us and he spend as much time telling stories as singing. It was all acoustic with just him and another guitar player.

Either that or the John Denver concert my wife (then fiance) gave me for a birthday present the year before he died.

Just remembered. I was at the Simon and Garfunkel concert in Central Park eons ago, but so far away from the stage, that I had to wait several years until it was broadcast on PBS before I actually "saw" the show.
